On Easter morning Catherine sighed as she felt Gil snuggle closer to her in his bed. Now that they were dating, Catherine never had to spend another night sleeping alone in bed. She always slept with Gil, whether they had sex before bed or not, either in his bed or hers, or sometimes the couch. She noticed that it was just a little after eight, very grateful that Lindsay had began to enjoy sleeping in when she could. Meaning that she had more time with Gil in bed.

She heard Gil's mom awake downstairs making coffee and tea. And then she heard Gil whisper in her ear, "Happy Easter baby."

"Happy Easter." Catherine smiled softly back, turning in his arms so they could share a tender kiss.

"I love you." He whispered again, playing with her golden hair.

"Love you back."

"Want to go downstairs, mom's up."

"No, I wanna stay here with you all day, or at least until Lindsay wakes up to find her basket.

"I think I can handle that."

"Good." Catherine grinned, kissing him again. They made out for about 10 minutes before Catherine laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes.

Gil held her there. He loved their morning and bedtime cuddling. It was a wonderful way to start and end each day.

About 9am or so they heard a knock on the door. Lindsay always knocked before going into their room at night and in the morning, learning her lesson very quickly after she caught them in the act.

"Come in." Called Gil.

Lindsay bounded up onto their bed and gave her mom a hug and Gil one too. "Come on guys, I want to find my basket."

"Okay, we'll be down in a minute baby, don't start without us."

After they dressed they found Lindsay downstairs practically bouncing off the walls in anticipation. She was always like this on holidays, and she reminded Catherine of herself as a child. Watching her daughter being so enthusiastic made her day.

"Okay Linds, go look."

20 minutes later Lindsay still could not find her basket and she was begining to get frustrated. "Come on, gimmie a hint. I know let's play hot and cold."

Catherine laughed; Lindsay was absolutely horrible about finding Easter baskets. If the basket had been sitting on the coffee table, Lindsay would walk right by it and not even notice. "You know for someone who wants to be a CSI, you'd think she'd be better at this." Catherine commented sarcastically.

"I heard that." Lindsay shouted from the next room.

"Lindsay, come by grandma, I'll give you a hint." Gil's mom, Helen said.

"You cheater." Gil scolded his mom.

"Oh, Grandmas are supposed to spoil their grandkids right."

"It's in the laundry room." Helen whispered to Lindsay.

Lindsay smiled and ran into the laundry room opening all the cupboards and hampers and finally the washer and dryer. "I found it!" Lindsay shrieked.

"It's about time." Gil laughed.

"Where was it?" Catherine called.

"In the dryer."

"Wow, the Easter Bunny hid it good this year huh?"

Lindsay rolled her eyes at her mom. "What did you get, honey, let's see."

Lindsay sat beside Catherine on the couch. Lindsay ran off the list of all the different types of candy and then showed everyone her stuffed rabbit and new Barbie doll.

"Okay, Cath. Time to find your basket." Gil said, pushing her off the couch.

"My basket? Since when do I get a basket?"

"Since the Easter Bunny thought you've been a very good girl this year." Gil answered.

"Oh, he did, did he?"

"Yes he did."

Catherine smiled and ran off in search of her Easter Basket. 20 minutes later, she hadn't found hers either and was becoming just as impatient as Lindsay.

"See mommy, you can't find yours and you ARE a CSI." Lindsay mocked.

"Very funny Linds."

"Why don't you ask grandma where it is."

"Oh grandma, can I have a hint, please…." Catherine whined to Helen, giving her puppy dog eyes.

Helen smiled and whispered into her ear. "It's in the bedroom"

Catherine smiled and ran off into the bedroom. "Mom."

"What?" Helen asked her son innocently.

"I found it!" Came Catherine's voice.

"Like mother, like daughter." Gil muttered, smiling slightly.

Lindsay and Helen rolled their eyes.

"Okay, Cath, what did you get?"

"Yeah, mom, what did you get?"

"Ohh, Cadbury mini eggs, these are my favorite." Catherine smiled as she sorted through her candy and her stuffed rabbit.

"What's in the eggs mom?"

Catherine began to open all the plastic eggs. She gasped at the contents of one particular egg. "Gil…is this…wh-what I think it is?" Catherine asked, fingering the diamond ring, dropping the egg.

"Yes, it is. Will you marry me Cath?"

"Yes." She sighed, falling into his arms. "Yes I will."

Gil held her and kissed her until she stopped crying. Gil then took the ring from her trembling hands and slid it onto her slender manicured finger. "I love you Gil."

"Love you back." He said, kissing her again.
