Movie Night

Author's Note: OKay, the title sucks I know. But this is post "A night at the movies" This was too perfect not to write a post ep for

After the movie Gil and Catherine walked out to the Tahoe. Gil had his arm around Catherine to shield her from the cool Las Vegas nighttime air. They decided to go out for some coffee,to talk. They hadn't really been spending as much time together as they used to and they missed it. Gil had promised himself to spend time with Catherine since Eddie's death so she wouldn't feel alone. Because she wasn't.

Gil pulled into a parking space at Starbucks and opened Catherine's door for her. She smiled her thanks. Catherine loved spending time with Gil. He was everything to her. Since day one, he always treated her like a woman, nothing less. Something that people rarely did for her.

Catherine sat down at a table in the corner, so they could have more privacy while Gil ordered their coffee. For Catherine, a triple mocha latée with whip cream, and for himself, a simple flavored coffee with cream.

"Here we are."

"Thanks." She said quietly, taking a lick of the fluffy cream.

After a moment or two of small talk there was a lull in the conversation. "Gil." She began. "I know."

"About what?"

"About your hearing. The last comment about the silent movies confirmed my suspicions. I didn't want to say anything until I was sure."

"I'm sorry for not telling you."

"I know, once I suspected, I figured you would tell me when you were ready, in your own way."

"I was considering coming over they day I first found out, you know when that model was murdered. But I wanted some more information first."

"I understand that you didn't tell me because you didn't want my pity. And I'm not going to pity you. I know that you don't want a big deal made of this. So I promise to keep this a secret until you are ready. But just know that I am here for you, and you can tell me anything."

"Tell me something I don't already know." He joked.

She smiled warmly at this, happy to see him feeling better. He reached his hand across the table to find hers. His hand covered hers completely. He drew small circles on her hand throughout their conversation.

"Gil, This is really nice. I've missed spending time with you."

"So have I. I'm sorry about everything lately and me being so secluded."

"Don't be. What's done is done. Just as long as you promise to never shut me out like that again."

"I promise I won't." he told her. "And to keep my promise. I have one thing that I have been meaning to tell you for about 15 years now."

"What's that?"

"That I love you."

She froze. Her eyes sparkling. "I love you too." She finally managed. "And I'm not just saying that because you did, I mean it. With all my heart."

"So do I." He whispered, leaning in for a kiss. Their lips barley met, but it was so gentle that it didn't matter. They paused for a second before having a real kiss.

"Gil...I, what time is it."

"About 8, why."

"Wanna catch a movie?"

"We just came from the movies."

"Please, I really want to see that new one with George Clooney."

"Cath, I heard that movie was terrible."

"That's exactly my point."

"I'm not following here."

"We go to the movie, no one will be there cause it sucks and we can have two and an half hours to make out, alone, in the dark."

"What time does it start?"

"15 minutes."

"Can we make it that long."

"I hope so."

They arrived back at the movie theater. Just as suspected, they were the only ones in the theater except for one couple in the front row. They quickly made their way up the stairs to the back row. Catherine nestled herself in Gil's arms as they watched the previews. Once the movie started they began to kiss. They tried not to make lots of noise, because of the other couple. They couldn't keep their hands off each other. It was 2 ½ hours of sheer torture and pleasure. It was the longest foreplay they either had ever had, they were almost tempted to go for it right there, but they knew they couldn't. "Catherine, we have to get home now."

"I know...I"

"I don't think I can make it that far."

"Yes you can, you have too."

As the credits began to roll they bolted out of there so fast that you would have thought there was a fire in that theater. Gil drove faster than he had ever driven before to get to Catherine's house. They ran out of the car and into the house, not even making it to the bedroom, settling for the couch, tearing clothes off as they went. Afterwards they did make it to the bedroom, and gave new meaning to the words all night long.

Meanwhile back at the movie theater...

"Hey Sara?"

"Yeah?"

"Wasn't that Grissom and Catherine running out of here just now? Wonder where the fire was..." Nick smirked
