Chapter 1

It was a normal day at work. Or not.

It started off just like any other day. Everyone came to work at the usual time. But, of coarse Gil Grissom came to work early like always but today he was no alone. When Gil arrived at the lab with this mystery women they hurried straight to his office. Who was this mystery women? None other then Catherine Willows!

7:30pm

Gil turns to face a sleeping Catherine Willows. He gently stroked her cheek with the palm of his hand trying not to wake her but was unsuccessful. Catherine gave a small sigh and opened her eyes to see her loved one staring at her.

“Morning” Gil said to the awakened beauty.

“Morning” Catherine replied with a yawn.

“You go jump in the shower and I will go make us something to eat. Ok?” Gil asked.

“Sounds good to me.” With that she leaned over and gave him a quick kiss and was off.

Gil got up and put on a pair off sweets and headed off to the kitchen to make two of his famous omelets. When they were cooked to perfection about 10 minutes later Catherine walked into the kitchen wearing one of Gil’s button up shirts and sat her self on one of the bar stools.

“Mmmm!” Was all she could say as she took a bite.

Gil replied with a simple “Glad you like.” With a smirk playing at his lips.

About 20 minutes later Gil was in the shower and Catherine was sitting on his couch reading one of her trashy romance novels. She was so involved she didn’t even see Gil walk into the living room with nothing but a towel around his waist. Gil cleared his throat and Catherine turned her head to see him standing there and could not brake her gaze from his dark blue eyes. He walked over to the couch sat down next to her.

Chapter 2

She automatically lent forward and kissed him. They didn’t stop until the demand for air was too strong. They pulled apart and just smiled.

“You should go get dressed or else we won’t get to work early enough so the kids don’t see us” Was all Catherine could say.

Gil gave her one more kiss and headed back to the bedroom to finish getting ready. On his way back he could feel her eyes on him and started to sway his hips’. That caused Catherine to burst out laughing. Both off them walked out the door and headed to the Denali 10 minutes later. The ride to the lab was silent. They would steel a glimpse at eachother every now and then and everytime the saw eachother the would just smile. When the got to the lab they walked hand in hand not expecting to run onto anybody for another good hour.

On their way to his office Greg stopped them to ask Gil a question.

“Hey, Grissom I have a question for you.” Greg stated to his boss.

“Not now Greg I’m kind of busy.” Gil told the young level 1 CSI.

Before Greg could say anything else Gil and Catherine disappeared down the corridor.

When they got into his office Catherine went immediately to the couch and waited for Gil to join her. On his way over to his leather couch he did not see the cord that was sticking out form under the rug and tripped over it landing on his stomach. Catherine rushed over to him to help him up.

“Oh god Gil are you ok?” Catherine said while helping Gil to a siting position. She could not help the smile that was playing at her lips and the laughing that wanted to escape.

“Yeah I’m fine I just didn’t see the cord that was sticking out from under the rug. Stop laughing it’s not funny!” Gil told her

“I was not laughing.”

“No but you were trying not to.” By now they were both siting on the couch.

Catherine couldn’t help it and burst out into laughter getting out a “I wish I had a camera!” in between laughs.

Gil looked at her with a hurt expression and walked off to his desk to work on some paper work. Catherine said that she was sorry but Gil didn’t listen.

Chapter 3

In the break room Nick Stokes, Sara Sidle, Warrik Brown, and Greg Sanders were all standing around talking about things in general. When Nick chimed in a

“Hey wears Grissom and Catherine they are both 15 minutes late?”

“Well the last I saw was Grissom heading to His office with Catherine.” That was all he could get out because the other three hurried out of the break room and headed towards Gil’s office. Greg smiled to himself and said

“Looks like I’m going to win this bet.” And hurried off to join the others. When he got there they all had their ears to the door and were listening very carefully. Greg joined in and heard the following noises

“Oh my god!”

“God Catherine calm down.”

“But Gil it’s huge!’’

“It’s not that big.”

“But it gives me the shivers.”

“Catherine every one gives you the shivers.”

Then they heard footsteps heading towards the door and ran back to the break room and busied them selves with something. When they entered the room all four of them started to smile. Catherine was being very cautious and was walking a little weird.

“Hey guys.” Gil addressed to his team. None of them even looked at him.

“Ok what’s going on?’’ Catherine asked taking a seat across from Nick who looked the other way. Greg had to open his big mouth

“We heard some noises coming from your office.” He specifically addresses to Gil.

“Oh that. Gil decided to take one of his spiders out when he knows how much I hate them because I laughed at him when he tripped over a cord in his office.” Catherine told her co-workers.

Nick, Sara, Warrik, and Greg started to laugh like crazy while Gil and Catherine just looked at each other and the rest of the team.

“Did I miss something?” Catherine asked confused. They explained everything to them.

Chapter 4

Greg was walking into the break room to make some of his special Blue Hawaii coffee when he spotted Sara sitting on the couch looking over some papers. He decided it would be fun to wake up the night by playing a friendly little joke on his co-worker. He walked as slowly and quietly as he could till he was right behind Sara. He placed his hands over her eyes and laid a sloppy kiss on her cheek. Sarah flipped out and jumped up and elbowed Greg in the side. Greg stumbled backwards into the table trying to catch his breath. Sara realized who it was and hurried over to Greg to see if he was ok.

“Oh my god Greg I am so sorry I didn’t mean to are you ok?” Sarah asked shocked.

“Yeah I’m ok you just took me by surprise there.” He replied with a weak chuckle

“Well in that case you are such a ass! I can’t believe you did that to me!’ Sarah yelled as she got up to gather her stuff and was out the door to the lay out room.

Greg got up slowly still trying to catch his breath and walked over to the coffee machine when Warrik came in with a confused look and his face. With Sara mad and Greg smiling he knew something was up. So he asked.

“Hey Greg what’s up?” Warrik asked while sitting down from Greg who was know sitting at the table.

“Not much. You?”

“Well I just saw Sara storm into the lay out the room mumble about some prank. Do you know anything about that?”

“Oh yeah. Man that girl is really strong.” Greg stated rubbing his side were he was elbowed.

Warrik asked “What did you do know?”

“Not much. All I did was cover her eyes with my hands and kissed her on the cheek. I didn’t know she would flip out and elbow me in the side.”

“Know you know that Sara is going to get back at you and it’s not going to be a pretty site. So if I were you I would watch my step.” He stated mater-of-factly as he left the break room. Greg sat there drinking his coffee and thinking about the other pranks he could pull on the rest of his team. When he came up with a plan of action for Nick, Warrik, Catherine, Hodges, and Archie he set off to gather all the stuff he would need. Considering what Warrik had said he was very causcious and decided for that his and every one else’s sake he would not be playing another prank on Sara for a while.

Chapter 5

Since Catherine was the only one who knew about Gil’s portable footbath she decided to enjoy while she was doing her paper work. She didn’t expect him back for a while because he was out on the field. She had her feet soaking and her headphones on listening to “Over and Over” by Nelly and Tim McGraw. She was so involved she didn’t notice that she started singing or the fact that Gil had entered his office and was just standing there against the door listening to her and watching her.

Know that she was leaning back with her eyes closed still listening to her music he made his way quietly over to her and stood behind the chair and stared to put feather kisses and her neck. Catherine let out a sigh started to smile. Then Gil started to move his fingers over her shoulders and Catherine though it was one of his spiders and started to freak out. She got up and stepped out of the foot bath and was yelling

“Get it off, get it off, get it off!”

“Catherine calm down it was just me. Just calm down.”

But Catherine wouldn’t listen and kept flailing her arms on the air and moving all around. Gil came over got a hold of her and crashed his lips to hers knowing that that would calm her down. And it did. Catherine brought her arms up and draped them over his shoulders and tangled her fingers on his salt-pepper colored curls. Gil put his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. They stopped when their lungs demanded air. They pulled apart and Catherine said

“Don’t ever do that again. You almost gave me a heart attack.” With that Catherine went over and sat down on the couch. Gil came over and sat next to her. He pulled her into his arms, kicked off his shoes, and lay back pulling Catherine on top of him. They slowly fell into a peaceful sleep.

Meanwhile, Greg was busy setting up his prank for Nick in the break room when Nick was still out in the field working on his 420 with Sara. His prank laid out like this…

There was a letter in an envelope sitting on the table wait for Nick with one of his old girlfriends’ address on it. Greg typed the letter himself because he knew that his handwriting could never be mistaken for girls’ handwriting. Greg knew that she had a new boyfriend but Nick didn’t know that and he would find out real soon. It had her phone number inside saying to call her and if someone else answered the phone to say that he was her girlfriend. Greg new that her boyfriend would start yelling at Nick and that was his plan. To get him all confused and a little upset.

He saw Nick and Sara enter the building and watched them over the top of the magazine he picked up walk into the break room. They both walked over to the fridge to find a snack at which Nick didn’t even notice the letter until he came over to the table and sat across from Greg and asked what is was and Greg told him who it was from.

Chapter 6

Nick opened it and read it quietly to himself and gave a chuckle at the end. He took his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed the number putting it up to his ear and waiting for some one to pick up.

A voice came from the other end “Hello?”

“Hi, yes is Sydney there?”

“Yeah how is this?”

“It’s her boyfriend Nick.” He replied.

“ Hey buddy where do you get off saying that she is your girlfriend?” The voice asked

“Well I got a letter from her saying that if anyone answered beside her to say that I am her boyfriend.”

“Well that’s impossible because I’m her boyfriend.”

Nick looked at Sara and then at Greg who was slumped down in the chair and reading the magazine and knew that he was behind this. Nick said goodbye and quickly hung up the phone and looked over at Greg.

Nick started yelling. “What is your problem Greg!? First you play a sick prank on Sara and you play this prank on me? Who do you think you are!?”

“I was just trying to have a little fun.” Greg replied but couldn’t say anything more because Gil and Catherine walked in to the break room.

Gil heard the entire conversation. “Greg, Nick, and Sara to my office now.” Gil said in a calm voice.

They got up and headed to Gil’s office with Gil behind them and Catherine in hot pursuit. When they were all inside his office with Gil behind his desk and the door closed Gil spoke in a calm matter. “What happened?’

Nick was the first to speak “Greg played a prank on me an Sara. First put his hands over Sara’s eyes and kissed her on the cheek and then typed up a letter from one of my old girlfriends telling me to call her and say I was her boyfriend witch I’m not and her real boyfriend started yelling at me.” Gil looked over at Sara who shook her head yes and then over at Greg who shook his head yes. Gil stated “Greg, this is a place of work not a place of play time. If you want to screw off do it on your own time and not here. Got it?” Greg said that her understood and all three of them left leaving Gil and Catherine alone. Greg forgot about all the pranks.

Chapter 7

Everyone went back to the normal routine of the day. Greg not playing pranks on anybody during work but did a few pranks outside of work. Nick and Sara got together as a couple. Gil and Catherine told the team about their relationship right after Gil proposed.

The team was happy for them and Nick won 150 dollars.

About 5 months after they got married Catherine got pregnet with a baby girl. She was born April 10th 2006. Her name is Eliza Grissom and Lindsey was a proud older sister. Shortly after the baby was born Nick asked Sara to marry him and they got married November 28th and had a baby boy named A.J Stokes.
