"Yes, I'm looking for a Mr. Gil Grissom," said Catherine as she approached front desk of Desert Springs Memorial Hospital. "Are you family?" asked the young brunette behind the desk. "Yes," she replied, a lie slipping through her teeth, "I'm his wife." "Alright," said the woman, "Mr. Grissom is waiting down in room 310." "Thanks." She said as she began walking briskly down the sterile, white hallway. Approaching the room, she could see Grissom sitting on the hospital bed, swinging his feet. "Hey", Catherine spoke up from the doorway, drawing his attention Gil looked up. "What are you doing here?" "I just wanted to see you, and I didn't want you going in without wishing you good luck." The nurse rolled in a wheelchair, and Gil got up off the bed and walked towards Catherine. 'Thank you...for being here' he said, sheepishly. She could tell he felt a little awkward in the situation. She put out her arms and pulled him into an embrace. She could feel all awkwardness melt away as he gripped her tighter, she could tell he didn't want to let go, and neither did she. As the hug ended, they held each others hands. Looking into his eyes she could see he was relieved to have somebody there for him. They both sighed as they had to let go. He knew that when this was over she would be there waiting for him, and before they knew it, he'd be back and they could pick up where they left off. "I don't need that" he said, regarding the wheelchair. As he began his walk down the hall, she noticed that the hospital gown was tied up at the back, but didn't cover much. 'Nice ass' she thought to herself. She smiled at the view. Grissom walking down the hospital corridor-now, that was definitely a walk to remember. | ||
