Catherine watched the man stare at the drink in front of him. She smiled, as she watched him try to find words. She seemed to have that effect on some guys.

The music was pumping, and dancers were dancing. Catherine almost felt uncomfortable with what little she had on. She sighed, waiting for him to say something. He was cute, that was a plus, but he was shy. He just couldn't talk to her with stuttering somewhat.

"Hey babe."

Catherine looked around, and raised her eyebrow at the other man standing there. She smiled; he was definitely hot. "Hey."

"I saw you dancing. You look great. Want to get out of here, and get a drink?" he asked leaning against the bar. "I'm Eddie by the way."

Catherine's smile widened. "Catherine." She replied.

"Ah, hence the name Kitty Cat."

Catherine nodded, and touched his arm slightly. Suddenly, she got shivers down her spine, and emotions of pain filled her mind. She saw flashes of herself staring into the mirror masking bruises; of herself limping into the hospital.

She gasped, and withdrew her hand quickly.

Eddie grinned. "Got burned?" he asked.

Catherine stared up at him. "Um, no. I, uh, gotta go, sorry."

She turned around, but the man who was behind her was gone. She glanced around the club, and spotted him leaving. She quickly left her seat, and pushed through the crowd to get to him. She finally got close to him, and she reached out to grab his arm.

Feeling someone touch his arm, he turned around. Blue met blue for a split second, before Catherine turned her gaze to her shoes. "What were you going to say?" she asked.

He frowned at her. "What do you mean?"

"Before he interrupted. What were you going to say?"

He paused, and she met his eyes. "I was going to ask you if you wanted to go and get a drink, or eat something."

A smile spread along her face. "Sure, I'm starved. I'm Catherine."

"Gil." He said, smiling.
