Rating: CSI-3? Just for language and somewhat descriptive abuse.
Summary: She did it. She finally did it.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything, and that includes the song, `Leave' by JoJo.
A/N: Okay, I wrote this last year, it was my first fic ever, but I deleted it, and removed it off of ff.net. So, some of you might find this familiar, and that's why!

Catherine smiled, as she stepped into the gym. She pulled her bag up closer, and she headed past the LVPD officers working out. A few of them stopped to stare at her, but she just ignored them, and kept walking.

She signed in, and entered the women's change rooms. Catherine was alone in the room, as she quietly, carefully, changed. Finally, she managed to get herself into light blue track pants, and a white tank top. She headed over to the mirror, and she removed all of her jewellery, setting them neatly inside her purse. Reaching back, she pulled out the ponytail, letting her hair hand loosely in her face.

She sighed, and put her purse in the locker, and locked it. Grabbing her CD, she walked out of the change room, and walked across the hallway into an empty room. She shut the door, and made her way over to the stereo. She slipped her CD in the player, but before pressing play, she moved over to the two-way mirror. She went through the door, making sure no one was in the viewing room to see her.

Catherine smiled slightly, and pressed play on the stereo. The CD was Lindsey's, who left it in Catherine's car. Catherine had listened to it more than a few times, and she found a song she really liked.

I've been waitin' all day for yea babe
So won't you come sit and talk to me?
Tell me how we're gonna be together
Always
Hope yea know that late at night
I hold onto my pillow tight
Think of how you promised me forever

She let her hips sway to the music gently, and her hands stayed close into her body. Her eyes closed, and she let the music surround her, giving one more satisfied sigh.

I never thought that anyone
Could make me feel this way
Now that you're here, boy all I want
Is just a chance to say…

Catherine stepped out, as the music sped up, and she began to move around. She ran her hair through her fingers, touching the ends of it. Memories began to flood her mind, filling it up with empty insults.

"You stupid, worthless bitch."

"You were sleeping with that nerd again, weren't you?"

"You're a lousy wife, and an even lousier mother!"

Tears threatened to fall, and Catherine's eyes opened. She looked up at the ceiling, blinking them away.

Get out
Right now
It's the end of you and me
It's too late
And I can't wait
For you to be gone cause I know
About her
And I wonder
How I bought all the lies
You said, that you would treat me right
But you was just a waste of time

*~*Flashback*~*

"I love you too, Linds." Catherine smiled into the phone. "I'll be there in the morning to come pick you up."

Catherine hung up the phone, after one more goodbye. She sighed, as the front door swung open, and Eddie walked in, reeking of beer.

"Eddie, I told you I didn't want to talk to you when you're drunk!" Catherine said, stepping forward.

Eddie ignored her. "Hey, back early from your little fuck session with your nerd?"

Catherine shook her head. "Eddie, don't start this."

"Start what? I asked you a question!"

Catherine turned, and grabbed the file off the counter. She handed it to him, making sure he got a hold of it. "I want a divorce Eddie." She said angrily.

Eddie tossed the file at her. "No way in hell I'm going to sign that!"

Catherine scowled. "I don't need you to sign it!"

Eddie reached out, and grabbed her wrist, twisting it hard. Catherine let out a yelp of pain, and Eddie pulled her in closer. He kissed her hard, and pulled back, pushing her into the table behind her. He laughed, as she crumbled in pain, struggling to stand up. He kicked her in the ribs, and she let out another yelp. He punched her square in the eye, leaving her a promise of shiner. Giving her one more kick, he stood up.

"I'll be at the bar. Be home soon, honey." He laughed, slamming the door behind her.

*~*End of Flashback*~*

Tell me why you're looking so confused
When I'm the one who didn't know the truth
How could you ever be so cold?
To go behind my back and call my friend.
Boy, you must have gone and bumped your head
Because you left her number on your phone.

Catherine remembered feeling lost, not knowing if she should go and see Gil, or just deal. She had seen Gil more than dealing with it, but she wasn't going to see him now. She'd just served Eddie and she was about to get a restraining order from him. She did it.

So now after all is said and done
Maybe I'm the one to blame but
To think that you could be the one
But it didn't work out that way.

"Why are we at the gym Gris? We should be on our way to the lab!" Sara whined, getting out of the car.

Gil ignored her, and stepped into the gym, and walked up to the secretary. "Did Catherine Willows sign in?"

She took the sign up sheet off the table beside her, and searched. "Um… yes, yes she did."

Gil didn't wait for her to look up; he headed right into the empty viewing room.

"Why are we looking for Catherine here? She won't be he-" Sara stopped short when she saw Catherine dancing in the room. "What's she doing?"

Gil's frown turned into a knowing expression. "She's dealing."

Get out
Right now
It's the end of you and me
It's too late
And I can't wait
For you to be gone cause I know
About her
And I wonder
How I bought all the lies
You said, that you would treat me right
But you was just a waste of time

Catherine was lost in her world. She wasn't thinking about Eddie, or anything for that matter; just the music, flowing through her veins. She stepped out, and twisted her wrist in towards herself. Letting out a cry of pain, she fell to her knees, cradling her wrist. She scolded herself, when she saw that the wrist was badly twisted. She should have gone to the hospital.

I wanted you right here with me
But I have no choice you gotta leave
Because my heart is breakin
With every word I'm sayin
I gave up everything I had
On something that just wouldn't last
But I refuse to cry
No tears will fall from these
Eyes

Gil pushed past Sara, and ran through the joining door. Catherine looked up, and spotted him, just as he wrapped his arms around her. She leaned into him gratefully soaking up his warmth. He pulled away from her slightly, and looked at her wrist.

"We should get you to a hospital. Have that checked out."

Catherine nodded. "Just what I was thinking."

There was pause, before Gil asked, "Eddie?"

Catherine nodded. She sighed, and smiled up at him. "I served him Gil. I finally did it."

Gil smiled back at her. "Good."

Get out
Right now
It's the end of you and me
It's too late
And I can't wait
For you to be gone cause I know
About her
And I wonder
How I bought all the lies
You said, that you would treat me right
But you was just a waste of time

Sara watched the two from behind the mirror. She sighed, before making her decision to lay off Grissom. He clearly belonged to someone else.

She stepped through the door, and made her way over to Catherine, who Gil was helping up.

"You okay?" she asked, sincerely.

Catherine frowned at Sara's sincerity, but decided to soak it up. She smiled lightly. "Yea. Want to grab my CD for me? My stuff's in my locker combination is 3-2-45."

Sara nodded, walking past them, and over to the player. Catherine looked up at Gil. "What's with her?"

Gil shrugged. "I don't know, but I like the new her. Let's get going, before we have to amputate that wrist off."

Catherine rolled her eyes. "O yea, because for a twisted wrist, it's very common to amputate."
