| Rating: Um… CSI-1 I think. Maybe Trainee, but I've never been good
with ratings! Summary: "I want to do something with real women. Like… a cop or something… on nightshift, just so we can look into their lives, and how hard it is being on that shift, and what its effects on the family are." Disclaimer: I don't own anything. I got the magazine name from the TV show Charmed. A/N: I was reading a magazine with Marg on the front, and my imagination formed this! Lol. Enjoy! FYI: Julie's my best friend, she just helped me write this, and she doesn't send anything to Graveshift.
| Chapter 1: Charmed Woman | ||
Two women were seated across from each other, papers spread out all over the table between them. One was about 16, the other looked to be older, about mid-thirties. The younger one was a strawberry-brunette, brown hair with a hint of red. It was cut as a long, layered bob, and rested just above her shoulders. She had bright, emerald green eyes, and was wearing a flowing, light blue mini skirt, with a white halter top, that showed just a bit of her stomach. Her shoes were strappy, high-heeled sandals. The older woman had red hair that was cut two inches below the shoulders. Her hair was thick, and corkscrew curly. She had brilliant blue eyes, and freckles underneath her eyes, and on the apples of her cheeks. She was wearing a white tank top, and cut-off jean shorts, with blue flip-flops. The younger one finally looked up from the papers she had in front of her. "Beck, I think I have an idea." Becky looked up, and smiled at the young girl. "Shoot." She said, leaning back from the table. She sighed, and smiled nervously. "I want to do something with real women. Like… a cop or something… on nightshift, just so we can look into their lives, and how hard it is being on that shift, and what its effects on the family are." Becky nodded her head. "Be more specific." She nodded. "Okay, like it would focused around a woman, who was smart, hardworking, and helped put away the bad guys. I was thinking someone who was on a night shift, because that would put a lot of pressure on her family, because of her hours. The article would basically be about how she copes, and how her family copes. It would show women, who sympathize with her, that they aren't the only ones." Becky grinned. "That sounds awesome. So you wanted your subject to be a cop, right?" The young women shrugged. "Meh. I mean, I want the woman to have something to do with law enforcement." Becky paused. "Hmm… well, I think we should do something different. Not everyone will relate to a cop. I'm not saying that no one will, but what if we looked for someone who's overlooked during the `putting away the bad guy' process." She laughed. "Do you mean like a security guard?" Becky shook her head. "No. I was thinking more along the lines of the scene investigators." The girl brightened up. "O! You mean the guys in the labs, and DNA and that?" "Yea!" "That sounds awesome!" "This is perfect, because we don't have to fly anywhere. Las Vegas has the number two lab in the country! Alright, I'll go talk to Alice, and you, Sky, you pack up all these papers, okay?" Sky nodded. "Okay. Did you want me to call the lab with a list of the labs female employees who are on nightshift?" "Yea, after I come back. I don't think they'll give you one unless they hear from an adult." Becky smiled. "Be back in a second!"
