"Dad?" Gil looks up from the paper at Lindsey standing in the doorway.

"Linds, honey, what's wrong?"

"Nothing. I just couldn't sleep." Lindsey pads over to the couch and sits next to Gil.

"Whatcha reading?"

"Just random stuff. Linds you sure nothings wrong?"

"Ye…well actually I was wondering…"

"About what?"

"When did you know you were in love with mom?"

"The first time I met her. She was out on the town with your grandfather and she was just wearing a pair of jeans and an old t-shirt. They were on their way out and I was, well, I was on my way to a poker table. I had a scotch in my hand and I ran straight into her. The glass shattered everywhere and she had scotch all over her. And she ended up with a piece lodged into her chest. I remember I spent the entire night apologizing and eventually she grabbed my hand and looked straight into my eyes and said…"

"Look don't stress about it I'm fine my shirt can be washed no one's holding a gun to your head. If you wanna apologize take me out to dinner and you'll be all paid up." Gil looks up at his wife who's leaning in the door way with a smile on her face and their 1 week old son in her arms.

"Then he knocked me up and married me 4 years later. Harrison was born 6 months later, Tallulah 1 year later, then you, Danni 2 years later, and then this little guy." Gil smiles and nods.

"Yeah that is what happened."

"Mom?!"

"Although you're the only one whose given me trouble about having conversations with your father." Lindsey sticks her tongue out at her mother and Catherine rolls her eyes.

"Gil, do you know where his pacifier and stuffed ladybug are?"

"They should be in the bedroom on my bedside table."

"Okay." Catherine leaves and Gil looks back at Lindsey.

"What's with the inquiry?"

"I…There's this guy…and we've been going out for a while…I just…I…How do you know if it's love or not?"

"You…you wanna spend all your time with them. And when you are with them you can't be close enough. You also get afraid to talk to anyone else about them because you think that they won't understand."

"That's how I feel about him." Gil sighs and looks at his 18 year old daughter.

"As much as it pains me to say it, maybe you should tell this guy." Lindsey nods.

"Thanks for the conversation dad."

"No problem honey." Lindsey gets up, kisses her fathers cheek, and walks to the doorway.

"Oh and Dad? It's Greg I was talking about."
