The Blonde

Disclaimer: Hmm, let's see I own CSI. Nope that's not it. Oh yes, I don't own CSI, I'm just borrowing it for the moment.
Rating: CSI-2
Pairing: Cath/Gil, of course
Author's Note: I'm finally getting back to writing a CSI story. It is primarily a case with a little romance on the side, and it is based on a true story with different names. I'll let you guys guess for awhile.
Feedback: Very welcomed, and I'm interested in seeing anyone's guesses.
Prologue

"As a last case goes this is an unsatisfactory one. No matter how many hours I spend trying to come up with an answer, the more questions I have for all those involved.

I received the call just after 4 a.m., and I rushed to the scene. The shock on the faces of the first to arrive let me know this was going to be an unusual case. The house looked somewhat familiar, but I didn't place it at first.

When I walked into the bedroom, the first thing I notice is the dead body lying on the bed. It is then I realized who's home I was at this early morning. It was none other than the famous movie actress, Carmen Ramone.

The only other piece of furniture in the room besides the bed is a bedside table. The table has one lamp, maybe 10 bottles of medication, telephone holder, and lastly a bunch of papers. The handset is still in the young actress' hand like she fell asleep before hanging up the phone. I made a quick note to find out who was on the other line. They may know something.

I move to the medication bottles, and notice that the bottles range from sleeping pills to psychiatric drugs. Next to the bottles is a large pile of pills. All of this points to suicide or overdose. I go through the papers next hoping to find a suicide note or evidence of foul play. The papers vary in subject, but neither point's one direction nor another for the case.

I finally take a closer look to the room. All the walls are bare, and on the floor is a pile of purses. The room is lifeless for such an animated actress that was once full of life.

The coroner comes in to take the body then, and I move to look more closely to the bed. There is once again no sign of foul play. No blood, no nothing.

I know I could easily shut down the case, and call it possible suicide, but something in me is questioning this answer."

*********

Catherine reread the notes of the officer who had been in charge of the Ramone case. The pictures of the scene backed his findings, and now it was up to her and Gil to find out the truth 40+ years later.

Was it possible?
