~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A lonely arm shoots out to hit that awful thing called an alarm clock. It had gone off, and that arm wasn't ready to let go the woman it was holding. The arm was attached to a handsome man who was madly in love with that woman he was holding. The snooze button hit the arm went back to its favorite past time, but not for long. It seemed the woman wanted to get up. The woman sat up, and the arms just found a new way of holding her to him. He was willing to make a few changes as long as he kept holding her. The man was paying no attention to her tries to wake him up. She seemed to remember a little detail she learned last night about him, and took advantage of it. Acting like she was going to hold him again, she started to tickle him. Trying to stop her the man let her go, and she got away. His arms once again tried to reach for her, but she had escaped him much to his dismay. "Cath!" he groaned. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Gil, its getting late. We need to get to work. Not only do we have to get ready, but we have to do it at the same time. It takes time! Now it's time to get up." "Five minutes more! I just want five minutes more with you in my arms," Gil pleaded. She made a big mistake at fulfilling her mission to wake him up. Leaning over him trying to get him up, he grabbed her waist and pulled her down on top of him. He sighed happily as she lay on top of him with his arms around her. "Gil, I need to get up to get ready." "It's your fault. You made me addicted to holding you in my arms." "This was our first time sleeping in the same bed. How can you already be addicted?" "It only takes once. Only once and now you are going to have a hard time convincing me to let you go anytime soon." "We have to go to work." "We will go to work, but I want to hold you in my arms every night after work." "I promise you we will. I want this to, Gil, but it's time for work." She leaned down her head to kiss him passionately. Both jumped as the alarm clock once again went off. That same arm shot out to turn it off, but Cath was once again out of his reach when finished with his mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You know we could save time, and take a shower together. That way you can come back into my arms for another five minutes," Gil called to her in the bathroom. "I doubt that would work. We would be wanting to do much more then just cleaning up." Gil laid back on the bed relaxing more. "You know I was thinking about last night's date all last week." "So was I. I never believed it would happen for us." "It did, and it was perfect. So how long do I have to wait for another one?" "It depends." "On what?" "How soon you ask for another one?" "So it's all up to me?" "You better believe it. I've been waiting for a long time for this, and I expect you to court me." "How does after work tonight sound to you?" "Perfect! As long as we can bring Lindsey on the date. I don't want to leave her with her babysitter another day in a row." "You think she'll be all right with out dating?" Gil asked shyly. "She'll love it!" "Really?" "Yes!" Cath entered back into the bedroom smiling. "She happens to love you, mister. Now it's time to get up." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "No, I want five minutes more of holding you, and then I will jump up and get ready as quick as possible." Cath watched as he quirked up his mouth in a lop-sided grin, and she was won over. "All you want to do is hold me?" "I could throw in a couple of kisses if you want." She made it look like she was thinking hard about it. "All right, you got yourself a deal. Five minutes in each other's arms." Taking her into his arms, Gil sighed once again with happiness. He knew this is what he wanted for so long, and now he had it. Cath looked up at him and smiled before kissing him. Breaking their lips apart, Cath looked dreamily at him. The words slipped easy from her mouth. "I love you, Gil." "I love you too." Neither at that moment wanted to leave each other's arms. Work seemed so unimportant after those words were uttered between them. To seal the words, they once again kissed each other. This time they both felt a slight change. They were connected in the most magical way by love. That night they walked into work slightly late, because it took them more then five minutes to leave the arms they wanted to stay in forever. Their hands were connected as they entered the break room to hand out assignments. They barely noticed the looks they were getting, but they were happy and that was all that mattered. The End | ||
