| Disclaimer: Sorry, but I don't own CSI, WP and Marg, etc. etc. Rating: PG Pairing: No brainer, Cath and Gil. Summary: The real Cath and Gil muse over the actors who play them on CSI, and the recent storylines. Author's Note: This story is not to be taken seriously, lol. Once again my off kilter mind has decided to distort reality again, but in a much more pleasant version than my last one. Feedback is always welcomed and enjoyed. | ||
Cath's House ~~~~~~~~~~ Gil shook his head trying to get that awful scene out of his head. Leaning over slightly, with one of his hands reached for the controller while the other hand absentmindedly kept playing with the ring on his new fiancée's finger, the one and only, Catherine Willows. When he had been approached, back in 1999 about having a show about him and his team, he had never expected the show to be such a hit and well, as tonight proved a very wrong turn. He had been very willing to accept most of the storylines thrown in, but when he was being paired off with Sara, he couldn't believe it. "It's only a tv show, Gil," whispered Catherine, sitting up to look at him. "It's bad enough when those teenagers pester me about Sara and I in real life, because of the show, but now…" "The hard part to understand is why in the world they would ever believe anything would happen to you. Warrick and I, another pairing that I never understood." "Sara told me, she stopped watching it long ago, because of the portrayal of herself. She didn't like how she seemed to be drooling over me constantly for years, and how naïve she came off to be about real life." "I know Warrick feels the same way. I was hoping they would turn around the show soon, but it doesn't look like that will ever happen. They've made up their minds about who you should end up with, and who I should be with." Gil's eyes grew wide. "You don't think there is a possibility they are right? Look at the ratings and choice of the show where to go." Cath laughed, "I'm wearing your ring, and Sara is in love with her boyfriend. Warrick is still hunting for the right person. He isn't the type to do a quickie wedding. The only person they seem to have gotten right is Nick, and well Greg. Gil looked down at the ring on her hand, and a smile crept on his face. "I think this is the best present I ever gave myself." "I rather enjoy it myself." She kisses him on the lips solidly. When they break apart, she grins widely, and receives Gil's famous crooked smile. "I think we need to announce this to the world." "Cath," Gil groans, "as much as I love to show people how much I love you. That will bring even more attention to our lives than what the show already has done." "I know, but think of the benefit. Who can argue that you and Sara should be together when you are madly in love with me and marrying me? Well except for those crazy diehards that will continue to believe no matter what happens." "They'll have to change the show then." "Exactly, and I know the right person to contact to make it happen." "But not right now." "But there's so much work to do." "It can wait." A moment later, Cath found herself in one heated, passionate kiss, and for the moment the announcement was forgotten. Don't worry though dear Cath and Gil fans, in the morning the phone calls were made. By early evening all the news stations were announcing their engagement. The crew at CSI Las Vegas watched the latest update that evening. The newscaster reports, "For the fans of the hit tv show, `CSI,' the real Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows have announced their engagement. With the show's cliffhanger last season, this is a twist for major fans everywhere. We've been receiving emails and phone calls all day with mixed results. Many are ecstatic over the news while some seem to think this has been a cover up to try to change the show's directions. Dr. Grissom and Ms. Willows have reassured us that this is no new news to them and their crew. They hope the show will turn back to keeping with their real lives ASAP. Next, in sports…" The End | ||
