“Catherine, we have been friends for year now and I have not been totally honest with you with my feelings. I don’t know how to say this and I have been debating with myself whether to tell you or not. Catherine I love you. Look I know it sounds insane but that’s what I feel.”

Grissom took a deep breath then shrugged.

“Oh Damn it!!” he banged his hands to his table for the hundredth time

“Grissom? Who are you talking too?” Catherine looked around the office as she opened the door.

“Catherine!”

Catherine raised an eye brow.

“There’s a reason why doors are closed Catherine, your actually suppose to knock”

“Yea well, maybe you shouldn’t be banging things in here! I heard hushing and probably hundred banging on the table.” Catherine paused she looked at Grissom and her heart melted, “Grissom is something wrong?” she asked with a worried tone.

“Yea I’m okay”

“You seem to be very pre occupied lately, want to tell me what’s going on?”

“Nothing’s going on Cath”

“If you say so” Catherine knew better than to push him. She knows how hard it is for him to open up so just like always she would just have to wait for him to be ready. With that she left him alone and closed the door from his office.

“Oh god, how am I going to tell her?” Grissom asked him self as he rolled his chair and saw the case files in his table. He gave out a mischievous grin.

Grissom went in the room to hand out the assignments.

“Sara, Warrick you have a homicide” said Grissom as he handed them their assignments.

“Nick, your going solo tonight” he gave him his assignment

“and Catherine your with me” with that every one got up and left.

“uh, Grissom, you haven’t given me my copy of the case file yet” said Catherine as she held on Grissom’s arm before exiting the room.

“Oh Yea” Grissom handed the folder to her. As they walk down the hall Catherine opened it. Hey eyebrows met when she saw what was written in the first page. There was one letter right in the middle of the paper. A letter ‘I’. Catherine turned to the second page another letter. ‘L’, she hurriedly passes through the other pages and every single page has one letter right at the center. Catherine stopped walking; she looked at Gil, seeing her confusion he gave her a boyish grin.

Slowly she started flipping on page per page. She started with the first page again.

A letter ‘I’ ; then the second page ‘L’ ; the third page ‘O’ ; after flipping the next four she paused before flipping the last. She looked at Gil, she took a deep breath, and there it is the last letter. ‘U’.

“What in the world...” Catherine started again from the first page. And again the pages held the same letters.

Catherine’s eyes widened, she looked at Gil speechless.

“I love you” he whispered in her ears.

“I didn’t know how to tell you, so...” he trailed off as he saw tears sprang from Catherine’s eyes.

“I really hope that those are tears of joy” said Grissom as he wiped the tears from Catherine’s eyes.

Catherine managed to laugh, she hugged him tight, and then she kissed him lightly.

“Does that mean you love me too?” asked Grissom grinning since he’s quite confident on what the answer is but he would really love to hear it from her.

Catherine gave a little laugh. “Yes! I love you... very much”

Her hands were wrapped around his neck, while his hands were wrapped around their waist they kissed passionately not caring if the whole lab is grinning like idiots watching them right now.
