Catherine Willows sat quietly beside her Supervisor Gil Grissom as he drove them to the crime scene. He was wearing his leather jacket again, she liked him in leather. 'Wonder how he'd look with leather pants?' She thought. To get her mind of that topic she suddenly piped up cheerfully, "What's your New Year's resolution?" Grissom threw her a quick glance, "Why?" "Because mine is to find out what everyone's New Year's Resolution is?" she said smiling broadly. "How are you doing?" "Almost there, only you to get." She tilted her head slightly and looked at him questioningly. "Okay, what's Sara's?" "To be more sociable." "That should be interesting." He acknowledged with a small smile. "Nick?" "To help Sara be more sociable." She grinned back at him. "Greg?" "To gibber less." "Warrick?" "Get more involved in his musical side, he's good." "I know. Doc Robbins?" "To spend more time with his wife." "Archie?" "To get a date with Laeta, the new girl in the print lab." "Bobby D.?" "To take up a hobby that doesn't involve guns." She gave a rueful smile. "Bet you didn't find out Jim Brass' New Year's resolution." He said wryly. "Did so?" she pouted. "What?" "Spend less time at work." "He'll be lucky." "So what's yours?" she asked. "Maybe I don't have one." He replied. "Everybody makes a New Year's resolution, they may not even consider keeping it, but they make it. Come on give." She pushed. "To shave off my beard…." "Uh uh!" she exclaimed. "Why not?" "It's a nice beard." He gave her a smile, "Let me finish." "Okay." "I like it too, but I'll shave it off by the end of January…" Catherine interrupted again, "We've already decided it's not coming off, and why the time limit?" "You may have decided, I haven't. Let me finish." She nodded. "I'll shave of my beard by the end of January if I haven't told a certain blonde, CSI level 3, called Catherine how I feel about her." Silence. "Gil, I'm glad you won't be shaving off your beard." "So am I." The End | ||
