Catherine looks up as Gil walks into her office," Hey what's up?"

"We have the same 3 days off next week don't we?"

"Yeah. You're not going to pull them out from me are you?"

"No, of course not. I...I was...actually wondering if you don't have any plans on Saturday we could go out?"

"On a date?"

"Y..yeah"

"That sounds great"

"Is six okay?"

"Linds is going to the football game that night if you don't mind us dropping her off?"

"No that's fine do we need to pick her up?"

"She's going to her friends house. So you can keep me out as late as you want," she laughs and he swallows hard," So six on Saturday?"

"Yeah that sounds great."

He turns to leave and she calls out his name," Gil?"

"Yeah Cath?"

"Thanks."

"No problem," he leaves and leans against her door sighing.

Gil knocks on Catherine's door and soon she opens it in worn jeans and a sweater," Hey come on in Linds is almost ready then we can go."

"Okay," Gil walks in and she shuts the door behind him," You want anything to drink?"

"No I'm good."

"Kay," he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a white rose handing it to Catherine," Gil you didn't have to...."

"I know I wanted to," she smiles and smells it," Thank you," she kisses his cheek and Lindsey comes down stairs," You guys ready?"

"Gil?"

"Yeah ready."

"Kay just let me grab my purse," Catherine goes into the living room and grabs her purse setting the alarm on the way out of the house.

Gil looks over at Catherine as they walk through the park and notices her shiver," You cold?"

"Kinda," he takes off his letter jacket and puts it around her shoulders letting her slide her arms into it and she looks over smiling at him," Thanks," he puts his arm around her shoulder and kisses her forehead," Listen I'm sorry about dinner I swore..."

"Gil it's okay. I think this is the best time I've ever had on a date my whole life..."

"Really?"

"Yeah," her cell phone starts ringing and she puts it to her ear after opening it," Willows."

"Mom it's me."

"Hey."

"I was wondering if I could go to the movies with everyone then head to CJ's?"

"What movie?"

"Casino Royale."

"Okay you have money?"

"Yeah."

"Call me when you get to CJ's still."

"Okay."

"Love you baby."

"Love you too mom," Catherine closes her phone putting it back," Sorry."

"It's okay."

"So anything else you wanna do tonight?"

"We could go to the drive-in?"

"Aren't they showing the Exorcist?"

"Yeah"

"Okay that sounds great," they walk to his car and Catherine rolls down her window as they pull onto the street," You go and see this when it first came out?"

"Yeah."

"Get in trouble?"

"Grounded for 2 months. You?"

"Opening night, me and a bunch of my friends went after the football game."

"You played football?"

"Yeah for a while."

"I never knew that."

"I don't really tell anyone," he looks over at her for a second then back at the road," The only star quarterback in history that's a ghost."

"I definately would have noticed you if we had gone to school together."

"Is that good or bad?"

"Good."

"I had a great time tonight Gil."

"I'm glad you did."

"Do we do this like normal?"

"Depends on what you consider normal."

"Good night kiss."

"I think we should," she laughs and smiles at him," If you're comfortable than I am."

"I'm comfortable...it's just been awhile since a guy's only kissed me good night."

"So can I break that spell?"

"Sure," he strokes her cheek and leans in kissing her slowly forcing her eyes to slip closed. He pulls back and she opens her eyes smiling," That was amazing."

"Same here," he entwines their fingers and she looks into his eyes," Thank you for all of this."

"I'll give you a call tomorrow."

"That sounds great," he leans in and softly kisses her again," Make sure you lock all of the windows and doors. I don't want anything happening to you now."

"I'll do that."

"So I'll talk to you tomorrow?"

"Yeah."

"Bye."

"Bye," she goes inside locking the door behind her and leaning against it fingers on her lips.
