What day is it *********** Gil looks at Catherine who's fast asleep in a hospital bed hooked up to an IV. Then he looks down at their 2 hour old baby girl laying on his chest with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes behind her closed lids. The guys had been in the room about an hour ago and Gil was still just facinated with their baby girl never taking his eyes off of her. He sits up right and pulls her into his arms," I think I know what we should name you. I like Katlynn" "No not Katlynn," he looks over at Catherine and she's looking back at him," I never liked the name Katlynn" "What about Natilee?" "Yeah. I like that name" "Natilee Catherine Grissom" "No.....Natilee Liona Grissom" "Okay," she smiles at him and yawns," Get some rest okay?" "Yeah," he lays Natilee in the baby unit and then lays down next to Catherine and she rests against him," I love you Gil" "I love you too babe" *********** Cause it's you and me and all of the people *********** "GIL!" "Huh," he looks up at Catherine and she looks at the preist then back at him," Oh sorry. I do" "By the power invested in me by the state of Nevada and the church of God I now pronounce you man and wife you may kiss the bride," Gil leans over and kisses Catherine," What were you staring at?" "Our miracle," she smiles and looks down at Natilee in her arms," Love you" "Love you back," they walk down the isle and stand in a recieving line after Catherine pulls off her heels. ********** All of the things that I want to say ********* "Papi?" "Yeah Lee," Gil smiles at her as they dance in the living room," I love you" "I love you too baby girl," he picks her up and she laughs," When's mommy gonna be home?" "In aboooooooooout 2 hours" "Can we go play with the bugs?" "Actually why don't we go to the butterfly exhibit at the museum?" "Yeah," he puts her down," Go get your shoes and jacket" "Okay," she runs off to her room and he looks at her baby picture on the mantel above the fire place," 4 years and it still hasn't changed," Natilee comes running back in and hands Gil her shoes. She sits on the couch and he puts them on her and ties them. She bounces up and grabs his hand," Come on Papi" "Here start the car," he hands her the keys when they get outside and she starts the car handing them back to Gil. ********** Cause it's you and me and all of the people ********* "Gil" "Yeah," he doesn't look up from the blue eyes staring back at him," You gonna be okay?" "Yeah......I'll be fine," he looks up at her and smiles," Really," she takes the baby out of his arms and starts nursing him," It's not your fault" "I know, but it still feels that way," it had been a year to the day of the car accident that had taken their 4 year old daughters life. He stands up," I'm gonna take a drive. I'll be back in about 2 hours" "Okay," he kisses her and she smiles. Gil stops the truck and cuts the engine. He jumps down and walks over to the grave that had a boquet of roses on it. A drunk driver had taken out Natilees side of the car killing her instantly. He closes his eyes taking a deep breath. An image of Natilee running around the yard with Catherine crosses his line of vison and a tear slips out," I'm so sorry Natilee. So sorry," he sinks to his knees and cries. ********** Something about you now ********** Gil opens his ringing cell phone blinking his eyes a couple times trying to see straight," Yeah" "Gil where are you? It's been 4 hours" "I......I guess I fell asleep" "Gil come home. You need to sleep in a bed not at our daughters grave" "I'll be home in a few minutes. You need anything?" "No" "Okay," he shuts his phone and stands up. It was dark out now and colder. He kisses the headstone and goes back to the truck climbing in. He revvs the engine and drives back to their house. Catherine's sitting on the porch. He jumps out of the truck and runs over to her," Cath what's wrong?" "Nothing. I just wanted to make sure you got home okay," she stands up and he hugs her. She holds him close," Come on let's go to bed" ************ Cause it's you and me and all of the people *********** "Mrs. Grissom I'm sorry. Your husband passed away last night. He went into cardiac arrest" "Was he in any pain?" "No," Nathan walks up to them," Mom what's going on?" "He died last night. His heart," she looks at the doctor," You've taken him to the mourge?" "Yes" "Can I see the room?" "Of course," she walks into the room and finds a piece of paper propped up against the lamp with Gils scrawl on it: I'll tell Natilee you say hi Catherine covers her mouth and cries for the first time she had in a long time. *********** You and me and all of the people ********* They had burried Gil next to Natilee and it seemed like half of Las Vegas had come to pay their respects. But at the end of the day Catherine was sitting on his head stone next to her mental image of him," I always thought I'd go first" "Na I knew you'd live longer" "Does she still look the same?" "Yeah almost exactly" "Can't you just come back for a little while?" "No. I wish we could live forever, but we can't. But I will see you sooner or later and once you get up here you're young again. And we can do anything we want even go to Paris," she laughs," We never did go did we?" "No we didn't" "Papi come on it's time to go!!!!!," Catherine looks out and sees Natilee beckoning Gil," I guess you need to go?" "Yeah" "Gil. It wasn't your fault" "Yeah I know. "If you ever need me I'll be there. I love you Cath" "I love you too Gil," she wipes a tear away," So we can talk again?"
