Yep you read it right... December challenge and when a challenge is before the first of the month, you know what that means. Time to sign up for the challenge. Just want to give everyone enough time for this challenge. For those who were around last year... and the year before and the year before... you'll remember this challenge. The Twelve Days of Christmas.

The basic idea is simple, really. Twelve holiday themed fics, poems, drabbles, filks... whatever... One posted on each of the twelve days leading up to Christmas. We've tried to expand this to cover the entire month of December for the last three years, and always get people to sign up for days, but then people don't post. So this year, we're going back to the original challenge and just cover the twelve days leading up to Christmas.

Since this change is being implemented the rules are changing just a little bit. Email me, off list and let me know what day you want to sign up for. Any where from December 14th until Christmas day. If you don't care what day you want or if there is a specific day you do not want let me know that as well. If you want a day to yourself, let me know that as well. The days will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. If the first 12 people that sign up for days want those days to themselves, I will have the challenge start before the 14th. Also there's a new rule being implemented this year, only applying to those who have willingly signed up for challenges in the past and then not posted their fic. For those people, you are still welcomed to participate in this challenge, but you won't get first choice on days and you wont get a day to yourself. Hopefully with those new rules we can finally complete this challenge.

Also, since this is limited to just 12 days this year, please only pick one day. If you want to write more than one fic, let me know. If we don't get 12 authors participating I can give you another day. Or if there is a huge response I may actually change my mind and try and get the entire month filled.

I will send confirmation emails or IM's to everyone that is participating... so if you haven't personally heard back from me in a few days, contact me again to make sure I received your request.
