Almost Always I can pretend that it doesn't bother me when he interrupts a conversation to take a phone call from her. Almost Always I can pretend that it's me he's dreaming of when he works too hard and falls asleep in his office. Almost Always I can pretend that it's me he wants to turn to when a case gets too tough for him to handle alone. Almost Always I can pretend that the world fades away from him when I walk in the room. Almost Always I can pretend that it's me that he loves. but it's her.
