Pain. When he woke up from his surgery. His head was pounding and he was scared that the surgery wouldn't work. I assured him that it would, and that I would be there for him every step of the way through his recovery. Concern. When I told him about the check from Sam. It showed up more as anger, but I knew he was just concerned about me, and how it would look if other people got wind of it. Later when we had both calmed down we talked about it. I told him I only did it for Lindsey. I want her to have everything she needs. I wanted her to have a better childhood than mine had been. I didn't want her to worry about paying for college. I just wanted my baby to have the perfect life that I didn't get to have growing up. Jealousy. When I left his office that night after asking him if we were okay. He said that we would be fine but I wasn't too sure if he meant it or not. His eyes revealed to me that he wasn't sure either. Only time would tell. Wonderment. When I looked deeply into his azure eyes and told him I loved him. His eyes light up in amazement as he told me he loved me too. Always and forever. Joy. His eyes sparkled with happiness as slipped the elegant band onto my finger, forever binding us together. These are just a few of the emotions that I see reflected in my lover's eyes. Despite the variation there is always one emotion that always shines through true. Love. Now, as we begin life's journey together, I can only hope that I will continue to read every little emotion in his eyes until death do us part. ~Finis!~ Completed: 2/24/04
