"He promises things will get better." He'd heard it before. Time after time. Why should he help her if she wouldn't help herself? He'd never said that. But she could see it in his eyes. So she thought. Tears meandered down her cheeks as she opened her locker. How could life be so cruel? How could saving a marriage mean losing a friend? A note fluttered to the ground, addressed "Catherine" by a familiar hand. '"If you're lost you can look and you will find me, If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting." Every time. Always.'
