I stared down at the body on the cold metal slab in a state of shock. Dead. Murdered. Out of my life forever. I stuff my hands into the pockets of my leather jacket as I intently examined the bluish tint of my ex-husbands skin. The emotions were raging a war inside of me, and I wasn't sure which one would win in the end. He hurt you. He loved your daughter. The bastard almost killed your daughter. He gave you your daughter. Anger, sadness, hurt, and betrayal all swarm through my heart, I came here for a reason. Closure. With a sigh I take one last look, and realize that I have found it. I look at him now and I feel nothing for him. I only feel sadness for my daughter who lost her father. I leave the morgue and turn to the one place where I can find peace, the arms of my best friend.
