Hating the Nights by Sydney
Rating: Trainee Summary: She hates the nights, he hates the nights Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters. I'm just letting them out of the barn for a while. Characters: Anyone you want really. Feedback: It would be much appreciated, good or bad. A/N: This came to me while I was staring out into the night.
She hates the nights he can't sleep because it means he's tossing and turning, and it's during these nights where she knows that the cases get to him. She hates the nights, well days to most people, where he doesn't come home until hours after his shift, looking like he hasn't slept in days when in truth, he slept just hours before his shift started. She hates the nights where he gets called in early, leaving her in bed. He hates the nights were she wrestles with the sheets before finally falling asleep, only she has to be up in an hour. He hates the nights where a bad case hits and she doesn't come home until hours after shift ending, looking like she just woke up with eyes half closed, struggling just to put one foot in front of the next. He hates the nights where she gets called in early, leaving him by himself, in bed. Hating the nights is something they both share but it leaves them loving the nights where they can lay in bed and talk for hours being comfortable in each others embrace. They love the nights where they can sleep a full eight hours, waking up refreshed and able to tackle a new day, together.
