Summary: The things he thought she didn't notice. A/N: Written for the csi100 'Firefly' title challenge.
He thought she hadn't seen him take extra care when he processed the little girl, murmuring reassurances to her as he tape lifted her shirt for evidence and checked for any sign of visible injuries. And really, Catherine hadn't intended to catch him with his guard down like that. She knew he'd be embarrassed if he found out, she had. So by the time he turned back around, Catherine was back photographing a bloody footprint on the sidewalk. But as she returned to her work, and started snapping pictures, she couldn't help but smile. In secret, Grissom was truly a man with a heart of gold. -- Fin.
