Catherine: "Who found him?" Gil: "The police were sweeping the area looking for vagrants trying to keep their heads above water. Take a look at his nose." Catherine: "Oh..." Gil: "Same thing with his chin, his elbows and his toes. He lost all his points." ![]() picture courtesy of CSI Storyteller
Catherine: "Like a rock in a tumbler." David: "I'm sorry I'm late. Stopped to get my waders." ![]() picture courtesy of CSI Storyteller
David: "No wallet. Huh. What is that? What do you think." Catherine: "I'll get it to Narco." ![]() picture courtesy of CSI Storyteller
Gil: "Take a look" David: "Cause of death?" Gil: "Water pressure could have done it." ![]() picture courtesy of CSI Storyteller
Catherine: "Or a person." Warrick: "Hey! Whew! It's a mess. I've talked to every resident in the area. No one knows this guy. No unaccounted for vehicles. I don't know what to tell you." Gil: "Well at least we know where he came from." They all turn and look down the tunnels. Catherine: "Aren't we at least going to draw straws?" Gil: "No..." Dr Robbins: "Femur measurements make the victim around five foot six. Pubic arch... mmm... sharply angled, less then ninety degrees indicates male. I'll send it to Greg, he might be able to pull DNA. Look at this. Midsize defect on the left fifth rib. Midsize defect on the left third rib. Gil: "Well the tool marks appear consistent with each other." Catherine: "Probably made before decomposition and not from hitting and obstruction in the sewer line. Stab wounds. ![]() picture courtesy of CSI Storyteller
Robbins: "Two separate strikes, back to front. Would have punctured the lung." Gil: "What about age?" Robbins: "I'll let you know." Gil: "Well, I think at this point we can agree that the murder weapon was a knife. These are pictures of the box of knives that I was unable to recover from the Durbin garage. So, how about the tool marks?" ![]() picture courtesy of CSI Storyteller

Catherine: "I cast the stab marks of the victim's ribs. Bone deterioration removed all the individual characteristics. The best we can do is rule out the serrated blade. Hey, what about the kids videos?" Sara: "Uh, no tape of the murder or the body dump so far. I'm not holding my breath. Videos cover several years. Kid running around the house. Backyard barbeque kind of stuff. You know, home movies." Catherine: "A teenage boy with a shoebox full of home movies under his bed?" Sara: "It's weird, I know. I'm still looking." Nick: "Well, we know Owen went to school with Travis Giles, right?" Warrick: "Well, that was a few years back. We still can't place Travis at the house. With all the fire damage, the clothes are the right size but I couldn't get any blood evidence off them." Sara: "Even if we had that, we still don't have a blood standard for Travis. I mean, we can't positively id the victim." |

The city paid Catherine a doller per square foot to rip out her lawn and replace it with gravel, because of the drought. |
