The city is on "Amber" alert while the CSIs race against the clock, searching for a missing girl. Meanwhile, Catherine struggles with being a single parent to her rebellious daughter, who is the same age of the missing victim, and Greg may have finally found a worthy replacement in Mia Dickerson (Aisha Tyler).
Catherine's phone rings and she answers: "Hello? Who's calling? Yes. Ah, yes."
Her conversation continues in the background and Gil walk out of the store and goes to Nick and Warrick.

Gil: "Nick... you failed your firearms qualification. You can't be here."
Nick: "Oh yeah. I'm taking it again tomorrow so I figured I could work."
Gil: "Not in the field."
Nick: "Your serious?"
Gil: "Your in violation just carrying the weapon."
Nick: "Copy that. I'll be in the lab"
Catherine walks over to them.
Catherine: "Nick, um, let me catch a lift with you. There's something going on with Lindsey."

Brass: "A tour helicopter spotted her around 4 p.m."
Gil: "How many people have walked through the crime scene?"
Brass: "Just the responding officers. The lug soles sizes 10 and 11."
Gil: "Were going to need some time here, Jim."
Brass: "Yeah, well. There's no rush now."
Warrick: "She's wrapped up pretty tight."

Gil: "Protecting her against insects and carrion maybe? Somebody, uh, wanted her intact."
Catherine: "Well, her face is covered. That means remorse, guilt... somebody cared. She's been redressed. Her panties are missing."
Gil: "All right. 360 degree grid search. Sometimes rapists like to relive the event. He may have wanted to watch her. So keep the body in view. We're looking for shoe prints, sperm clusters... anything else you can find."
Catherine: "Have you been to bed?"
Gil: "Yeah."
Catherine: "Did you sleep? Me neither. She was the same age as Lindsey. Who was trying to hitchhike."
Gil: "Where was she going?"

Catherine: "Fremont Street."
Gil: "Was she buying drugs?"
Catherine: "No! She's twelve. She just so angry. She doesn't talk to me."
Gil: "Well if people knew what was out there hunting them they'd never leave the house. I think you need to sit her down."

Catherine: "Well I don't want to scare her. I don't want my daughter to be this frightened paranoid kid that is always looking over her shoulder."
Gil: "Catherine, there a big difference between scaring her and preparing her. And all the reasons you should are in that room."

Catherine: "Daniel Perez was diagnosed with relapsing acute promyelocytic leukemia, or APL, when he was ten. It's rare, it's nasty and it usually hits Hispanics. His sister Alicia was concieved in vitro to be a genetic match."

Gil: "Well it's not unheard of, to have a baby, get the undeveloped stem cells from cord blood. New parents are even storing it now."
Catherine: "Well when she was four they took her blood for a transfusion. At seven, they took her blood to remove stem cells."
Gil: "Well Daniel must hace relapsed, because, they took bone marrow twice."

Catherine: "It takes one to one and a half liters of bone marrow for a successful harvest."
Gil: "Living DNA factory."

Catherine: "Okay, what or who is on Fremont Street that you would risk you're life to get to? Mouthing off to teachers, slipping grades, and now hitchhiking. I mean what is next, Lindsey?"
Lindsey: "Stripping."
Catherine: "What did you just say? Huh... okay. No phone, no friends, no nothing."
Lindsey: "For how long?"

Catherine: "A month."
Lindsey: "Whatever."
Catherine: "Hey! You want to make it two."
Lindsey: "Dad always said you were a drama queen."
Catherine: "Well, what do you expect, Lindsey, since he was always high."
Lindsey: "I'd take dad high over you anyday! Nana's coming to pick me up. I'll be out front."
