Fun and Games: Poetry & Limericks: Poetry

Poetic Hopes by Allison
Author's Note: Welcome to day 8 of the twelve days of Christmas. I hope you enjoy this little poem, even if I’m not quite sure that I do.

Christmas lights
Winter nights
Dead bodies by the dozen.

Two team members
One chilly December
Crimes scenes by the dozen.

Underneath the glamour and glitz
And though nightshift aint the Ritz
They solve cases by the dozen

Two separate minds, alike and yet so different
Find comfort, solace, more than friend-like intent
On a mistle toe night- the timing just right.

He’s the bug
To her crimson red blood

She’s his push
When away he pulls

He hears whispers of truth in science
She works puzzles, disgusted by mankind’s ignorance

Ones’ got secrets,
The other scars, but no regrets

Dance of firelight
On a snowless night
These two hearts meet as one.

Golden wrapped gifts under the tree.
"To Catherine from Grissom"
And "to Grissom from me"
