CSI, By Style Of Seuss by Manda

"Grissom!"

The name was clear. "Grissom!"

And Catherine, then, supressed a grin.

Her boss was sitting in his chair,
and didn't know that she was there.

"Grissom!" So Cath tried once again,
And Grissom turned, to meet her grin.

Catherine: "I'm off to fly to Reno, Gil.
And yes, I will be dressed to kill.
So Warrick said he'd cover me,
So you've got him, instead of me."

Grissom: "But Catherine, what about the shift?
I need you here- I need the lift.
Was that tonight?"

Catherine: "I memo'ed you once, e-mailed you twice.."

Grissom: "Then you should try again, for thrice."

Catherine: "My trip will be by plane, not train. And I heard it's supposed to rain. Although I'll have my boots and coat, and hope that we won't take a boat."

Grissom: "I'm glad you'll go by plane, not train. And damn it, Cath, you hate the rain. Do you have time to get your coat? I don't think Vegas has a boat."

Catherine: "I think I'll jog before I go. But I don't hate the rain, no, no. And yes, I have time for my coat. But you know..I won't need the boat."

Grissom: "But Catherine, please, you just can't go. I need you now, I need you so. Forget your coat, forget the rain...I need you now, I'll say it plain."

Catherine: "But think of Sam- he needs me too. He wouldn't want me here with you. I need to go, I need to, Gil. I'll call you when I land- I will."

So Grissom frowned and Catherine sighed,
and wished she'd gone and never tried.

Grissom: "All right, Cath- yes, I understand.
And please, do call me when you land."

She left at last, and he sat there.
And Warrick came, and was aware.

Warrick: Cath told me that she had to go.
She's sorry, Gris- she's sorry, though."

Grissom: "I didn't want her to go now.
I tried the best that I knew how.
I want her here, you know I do.
I can't believe I'm telling you.
I love her, Warrick, very much.
And already, I so miss her touch."

Warrick:"Her plane leaves at five-thirty-eight.
I know it- she thought she'd be late.
If you can hurry, catch her now."

Grissom: "It's ten past five- she's nearly there."

Warrick: "You get there- tell her that you care."
