A Voice In The Silence by Jaclyn
Author's Note: I know I'm supposed to be typing up the next chapter of THW but this came to me last night after I shut the computer down. It's only short, then I'll get back to it :)

He strained to read the lips of the man infront of him.
She watched.
He forced his face to conceal the panic and frustration.
She knew.
He feared how he would explain why he didn't know what was said.
She moved.
He released it only when he thought he was on his own.
She saw.

Her hands retold the witness's tale.
He smiled.
Her face insisted it would be alright.
He knew
She would be there, a voice in the silence,
Forever.
