if everyday was christmas if we could make believe if everyone could care a little more there'd be harmony Lindsey Grissom Sat there in tears it was Christmas eve and her Dad Gil had to work,it wasnt that unusual I mean both he and her Mom were Crime Scene investigators in fact thats how they met and thats how she came around although at the time People thought she was Eddies it wasnt until a fateful day a few months back when her Mom finally admitted to everyone that She was Gil's That things began to change but now at 9 years old she was pouting like a little kid because she wanted more then anything in the world to be with her Mommy AND DADDY on Christmas she just sat and wished the world was perfect and there was no crime so her daddy wouldnt have to leave.Gil came walking in the room smiling at his little girl Gil: whats wrong Squirt Lindsey: I dont want you to go to work daddy Gil: I have to You know that Lindsey: But its Christmas Eve daddy You have to be home for Christmas Gil: and I will Munchkin I promise *He kisses the tip of her nose and leaves* the city is covered in snow tonight the children fast asleep I'm waiting for him but hes no where insight and I wonder if he can hear me Catherine was sitting in her living room wrapping the last few present and sitting there wishing she could have gone to work With Gil *she frowns* She Knows they made the agreement before the twins were born that she wouldnt go back to work until they were atleast 3 and yeah she missed it But she loved being with the kids and watching them grow up,she stared out the window at the Fake snow on the Ground ,Lindsey really wanted snow but being as they lived in the Desert that wasnt going to happen,so Gil coming to the rescue bought fake snow just for her,Catherine smiled looking out at it,The kids had long since been asleep,Cath had given them kisses and tucked them in now she was just sitting there she made a childish prayer and smiled at herself "Santa all I wish for is one thing,Have Gil home in time for christmas,his kids need him I need him Love Catherine" She Laughed at herself Wondering if anyone was really listening to her prayer Hey Santa Hey Santa I wish with all my might hey Santa hey Santa Bring My Baby home tonight Catherine Didnt Care that maybe no one was listening she just kept repeating the words she had said in her mind "hey Santa I'm wishing with all my Might that you'd bring Gil home tonight" ,She kept staring out thier window hoping she'd see his car she'd sigh when it wasnt there Why does it feel like its colder then winter even by the fireside my baby said that he'd be home for christmas but now its almost midnight the christmas lights up and down the street are such a sight to see but all the presents by the tree they wont mean a thing till he's with me Catherine Shivered as she sat by the fireplace she wasnt sure why it wasnt really that cold I mean after all it Was Vegas,*she smiled* as she remembered the Promise Gil left her before he left he had said "I'll be home before you know it ,*smiling* before the clock even turns to midnight"Catherine stared at her clock it had read 5 minutes till Midnight she frowned so much for the Promise,she Stared outside at the Christmas lights that lined the Streets,and Stared at the presents and Frowned she knew they wouldnt mean a thing until Gil came home that night Hey Santa hey Santa I wish with all might Hey Santa Hey santa if you hear me wont you hurry and bring my baby tonight Again she silently said her little Prayer "Santa,I wish with all My Might that you'd bring Gil home tonight" Hoping that someone,somewhere would answer her prayer,she stayed up and waited I know your sleigh is full inside But wont you stop and give my baby a ride i'll be waiting by candle light this christmas ahuh The christmas lights up and down the street are such a sight to see but all the presents by the tree they dont mean a thing Santa please hear me Catherine Waited by the candle light all night that night,Dreaming that Maybe someone somewhere would hear her wish and bring him home,she sighed as the thought crossed her mind knowing full well that once Gil is in the Groove he wont quit till its done,She of all people knew that about him Hey santa Hey Santa I wish with all my might Hey Santa Hey Santa if you hear me wont you hury and bring my baby tonight Catherine Kept repeating her prayer over and over again till it was the only thing left in her mind not sure Whether or not it would be answered,all she knew is he was all she wanted The Christmas lights up and down the street the presents by the tree I hear a Knock oh can it be My wish is staring back at me Catherine Nearly Jumped from her sleep when she heard the key jingle,she got up and ran to the door Knowing full well who it would be,She kissed him as he stood there staring at her Gil: *smiling back* Didnt i say I'd be home for Christmas Catherine: *kissing him more* yes you did and i never doubted you for a minute hey Santa hey Santa I guess you heard me tonight Yeah Hey Santa Hey Santa I'm underneath the misletoe with my baby tonight Sleigh ride Sleigh ride Sleigh ride God for giving her the wish,She thanked Santa for hearing her,They stood there for a long time underneath the misletoe Kissing and she smiled as she said "Gil its going to a Very Merry Christmas after
