Fun and Games: Poetry & Limericks: Script Fics

Mirror Image... and Only That by Marco
AUTHORS NOTES: Here's the fifth part. Sorry if it's a little short, but it's the end of the last year of school, so I'm a little busy... anyway, here it goes. Good reading!
Part 5 - PARALLELES

Warrick: What do you mean?

Marcus: I mean, there were a lot of evidence that linked Jamie and Cynthia Stires at the crime scene, but we never had such a strong lead, and something I can't still put my finger on, but related to the explosive used, makes me doubt the Investigators on that case, the ones from the then-dayshift, we're talking of 1984, before DNA, were diligent enough.

Sara: We understand. The day shift here is pretty much in the same conditions, they're not bad, but their supervisor, Conrad Ecklie, is an all around ass.

In the meanwhile a rock tied to a letter breaks a window and falls at Ted's feet. He puts on some gloves, picks it up and reads.

Ted: "It happened once, now it has happened twice. You better not go further, or it will happen thrice." (pales)

Sara: What does that mean? That they will blow up somebody else?

Gil: Yeah, it does.

The three Bostonians turn sharply to look at their colleague, making the others turn too. Stiers is very afraid, but not showing it, other than in his blue eyes.

Ted: It's my sisters' calligraphy.

Gil: So they're here. Do we have their mug shots?

Cath takes the file with all the things she had found about the first murder and takes out two photos of women who don't look a lot like potential sisters. The photos portray two redheads with Ted's blue eyes and a pointy chin, in which one, Cynthia has a cleft. Otherwise, they're undistinguishable. Their features are unnaturally hard for a woman.

Cath: Yeah, we do. And I already asked the witnesses if they saw one of those women around the car the night of the murder.

Gil, Ted and the others in unison: So?

Cath: They did. But they don't know which.

Gil: They did it, that we know for sure. The problem is, how are we going to find more evidence that proves it?

Then he receives the address of where the bomb components were bought, Lieder Road, 231 Las Vegas.

Gil: Guess we're going to pay them a little visit.

In the meanwhile, he noticed Cath talking with a still-scared Ted and felt jealous like Marcus probably felt when Greg was checking Lucy out.

A hand on his shoulder made him turn sharply. It was Marcus.

Marcus: Calm down, Mr. Grissom!

Gil: Oh, Marcus, sorry. But. shouldn't you be with your girlfriend?

Marcus: She's back in Boston.

Gil: But aren't you and Ms. Block.

Marcus: Lucy?? Where did you get that idea? (he smiles nervously) We're just friends. And she already has a boyfriend.

Gil thinks 'Just friends... yeah right, keep telling yourself that. Maybe one day you'll believe it.', but says

Gil: OK, but now, let's go to that shop. I think they've got something in store for us.
