| PART 7 - ONE IN, ONE OUT. | ||
All the others do the same, and the chase is officially opened. And it comes to a head when they go to a seedy motel that looks like the Bates one in "Psycho". Nick and Sara go inside the reception and ask to speak with the motel owner, Mrs. Procter. Procter: Hello, do you want a single or. Sara, in her endless kindness, sharply cuts her off. Sara: We're criminalist from the Las Vegas Clark County Crime Lab, and we're looking for these women. She shows them the photos. Procter: Yeah, the girls in room 13. Real bitches, let me say it. Sara: Why do you say that? Procter: They destroyed a room and injured a customer. Nick: Why didn't you report them to the police? Procter: I thought it could be settled easily with a raise of the price. wait. Didn't you say you're from the Crime Lab? Nick: Yeah, why? Procter: They're the ones. I mean, they made the bomb that killed that girl last week. I heard them saying it out loud, along with things like "Teddy will think twice about dating again." Or "Ding, dong, the bitch's dead." Sara: We already know. Evidence places one of them at the scene of the crime. Thanks for the info. They go to the emerald green door with the golden 13 and knock on it. Sara: Cynthia Stires, Jamie Stires, are you inside? The two women were going back to the room, and Nick manages to catch Cynthia and drag her to the squad car, where she is cuffed and put in by the officer, while Sara runs after Jamie, but can't manage to get her. Sara: She ran away. After a while, they go back to the District, where they decide to diramate an APB for Jamie and interrogate Cynthia in team with the primary Detective on the case, Frank Pembleton, a transfer from Baltimora. Pembleton: So, Ms. Stiers, tell us why do you and your sister go around blowing up your brother's dates. Cynthia: I want a lawyer. Gil: Miss Stiers, you're already proven guilty. We found some of your hair, fingerprints and DNA at the Crime Scene. You could've left a photo of you putting the bomb if you wanted to be more discreet. So, don't give us the 'lawyer' crap. It won't save you from jail. Pembleton: And while we're talking about it, how the hell did you two get out of prison? If I remember well, you were serving your sentence of Life without Parole for another bombing. Cynthia: (arrogant, like she's bragging about her latest haircut) We gutted two nurses and dressed as them. It was easy. Gil: Now tell us why you killed Maureen Kramer, and don't lie. During all of this Ted and the others are behind the glass. Ted: That story of the fingerprints and DNA is a bluff, isn't it? Cath: No, it isn't. Greg processed the car and found them. Marcus: Sanders? Isn't he a lab tech? Cath: And on his way to become a rookie CSI. Jarod: Well, what a lucky strike. TBC | ||
