Used to record the crime scene and initial appearance of physical evidence, photography can provide investigators with a visual record of ten used for court trials and hearings. In addition to notes and sketches, it is an efficient way to record a crime scene. It is recommended to use color film without a filter; one should always attempt to capture the scene exactly as it is found. A photographed object should be free to distortion, given a sense of scale with measuring of marking devices, and should be shot from both mid-range and close-up distances." |
